The 9U AA Hawks Qualify for OBa's and Collect Donations for the Newmarket Food Pantry
The Newmarket Hawks 9U AA team has qualified to represent Newmarket and the YSBA in the Ontario Provincials in Orangeville on Labour Day Weekend. The 9U AA team also hosted the YSBA Qualifier event and with the help of other participating teams also raised a large amount of donations for the Newmarket Food Pantry. Way to go.


Congratulations 15U A Hawks - YSBA Champions
Congratulations to our 15U A YSBA Champions! These boys came out to play this past weekend! They were undefeated scoring 46 runs while only allowing 5. Carson, Colin, Devin, Elijah, Gord, Hunter, Mason, Matty, Nate, Owen, Ryan, Sam & Trevor will be heading to Windsor to represent Newmarket in the OBA’s.

9U House League Tournament Champions in St. Mary's!

The 9U House League Tournament (Coach Brad Normand and Coach Tyler Smith) played in St Mary’s this weekend and it was a huge success for the Newmarket Hawks. The team went through undefeated to win the Championship against the team from Saugeen Shores!!
The boys called themselves the Pineapples because of their yellow jerseys and green caps. They even had a pineapple mascot named Jerry who kept them motivated and who led the conga line of victory.
It was a scorcher this weekend but this group of dedicated players, amazing coaches and supportive families had an amazing time…playing ball and representing the Newmarket Hawks to victory.
Way to go Pineapples…I mean Hawks!
22U AAA Hawks are Baseball Canada National Champions!!!

Congratulations to all the players for the success this week along with head coach Doug Lunney and his coaching staff of Alex MacDonald, Brian Bratt, Rob Hums, Matthew Biemiller, and Rich Lunney!
Baseball Canada hosts national championship tournaments for the top club teams from each province at the 13U, 15U, 18U, and 22U age groups. Newmarket Hawks' 13U teams qualified for Nationals in both 2005 (in PEI) and 2015 (in Montreal), while the 22U Hawks are the first-ever national champion from Newmarket.

The 22U AAA Hawks are Going to NATIONALS!
The 2023 Newmarket 22U AAA Hawks will be representing Ontario at the Baseball Canada National Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia from Aug. 3-8!

Hawks Take Silver at the Ontario Summer Games!
A roster of 16 great players from our region including 5 from our Newmarket Hawks 15U Elite team participated in a fun and competitive event in Mississauga this past weekend at the Ontario Summer Games. The boys walked away with the Silver Medal. What a great weekend and experience for all. We are very proud of our boys.
10U A Hawks Made Finals in the Annual Summer Classic in Orillia this past weekend.
In the semi-finals the 10U A Hawks (Coach Amanda Harrison) beat their YSBA division rivals, Orillia Royals, to advance to the championship game against the Lakeshore Whitecaps. The Hawks played well keeping it a tight game until the 5th inning, but unfortunately succumbed to some great hitting by Lakeshore at the end. The Hawks would like to congratulate Lakeshore on their tournament win. A big congratulations to our Hawks on a great tournament and a great finish.

Congrats to the 11U AA Newmarket Hawks!
This past weekend July15-17, The 11U AA team made it to the final championship game on Sunday. A tight game with Royal York Cardinals coming out as the Tournament Champions, both teams played a great competitive game till the end in very hot conditions.
Great effort by all and a thank you to the Kingston Thunder Baseball Association for hosting this fun event. Go Hawks!

Congratulation 15U Elite - Champions in Vaughan
The 15U Elite Hawks came out as champions in the Vaughan 15U Elite tournament on the weekend.
10U A Newmarket Hawks at the Mulock Community Gardens
The Newmarket Hawks 10UA baseball team partnered with York Region Food Network in June for a charity gardening event

Players from 15U Elite Headed to Ontario Summer Games!
The Newmarket Hawks 15U Elite Team will be sending 5 players to this year's Ontario Summer Games.
Andrew Kobryn, Josh Hewson, Damon Crozier, Austin Hamblin and Paul Verman have all been selected to represent the York Simcoe Baseball Association this coming July at the 26th Ontario Summer Games being hosted by the City of Mississauga.
The Games will feature over 3500 athletes from across Ontario competing in 19 different sports.

10U AA Hawks Win Tournament in Aurora
The 10U AA Hawks (Coach Marco Pasquali) won a 16-team, AA tournament hosted by Aurora over the July 8 – 10 weekend.
"Our Hawks showed a lot of grit, toughness, and tenacity throughout the 6-game, 3-day tournament. I am super proud of what the players accomplished and I’m sure my assistant coaches, their parents, their fans, and the Newmarket Baseball Association echo this sentiment. Special thank you to the other coaches with our team, the volunteers and, most importantly, the 12 players who did everything in their power to win these games (Cooper H, Ryker S, Carter R, Jake B, Jordan G, John P, Ben H, Xavier P, Shea E, Josh D, Jonny C, and Stavros S)." ~ Coach Marco

Tournament Season is in Full swing with Newmarket Baseball!!!
The 10U AA Hawks won a 16-team, AA tournament hosted by Aurora over the July 8 – 10 weekend.

16U Elite - OBA Finalists
Over the weekend the Newmarket Hawks 16U Elite team advanced to the 16U AAA OBA Finals. The Hawks had a great weekend going 4 and 2 beating Etobicoke 9-3 in the opening game. The Hawks faced a tough London Badger team in the second round losing 7-4. On Saturday the Hawks avoided elimination beating Niagara Falls 16-2 and Milton 12-2 advancing to the semi finals.
Newmarket faced the Mississauga Majors in the Semi Final game Sunday morning winning 17-6 advancing to the Championship game. In the Championship game Newmarket faced Mississauga again, losing 7-3.
Congratulations to Alex Simone, Anthony Nivicki, Avery Rauzino, Carter Burns, Carter Hilts, Ethan Burgess, Evan Chong, Jack Comper, Jacob Pruitt, Justin Chowbay, Keaton Walsh, Maddox Quesnelle and Ryan Ko on a fantastic season and a great run in the OBA finals!

The Newmarket Hawks 16U Elite (AAA) are YSBA Champions and will be representing the YSBA at the OBA's in Hamilton on Labour Day weekend.
The Hawks went 3 and 0 over the weekend beating Barrie 4-0 on Saturday morning. The Hawks faced Bradford on Saturday afternoon putting up 15 runs in the top of the 6th inning on the way to a 19-9 victory. On Sunday morning the Hawks faced Bradford again and walked away with a 6-2 victory with one stellar defensive play after another to secure the victory and the YSBA Championship.
It was a complete team effort over the weekend with great pitching, timely hitting and solid defence.
Alex Simone, Anthony Nivicki, Avery Rauzino, Carter Burns, Carter Hilts, Ethan Burgess, Evan Chong, Jack Comper, Jacob Pruitt, Justin Chowbay, Keaton Walsh, Maddox Quesnelle and Ryan Ko will now prepare for the OBA's on the Labour Day weekend in Hamilton!

The Hawks battled to beat Orillia and advance to the finals against the Lakeshore Whitecaps. The teams battled it out to the 5th inning with Lakeshore coming out as the winner.
A big Congratulations to the Hawks and Lakeshore for a exciting finish. Go Hawks!
The 22U AAA Hawks are Going to NATIONALS!
The 2023 Newmarket 22U AAA Hawks will be representing Ontario at the Baseball Canada National Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia from Aug. 3-8!
Congratulations to the 2023 Hawks 22U AAA team that rostered several players who played much of their youth baseball as part of the Newmarket Baseball Association, including Aidan Ament, Bryn Biemiller, Jaden Hums, Jack Kensit, Matthew Kobryn, Eric Lucas, Reid Lunney, Keegan Pulford-Thorpe, and Liam Wedge, playing alongside more recent Hawks of Zack Dennis, Cody Thomas, Jake Dean, Charlie Martin, Logan McKnight, Ethan Murdy, Ethan Boisvert, Jakob Cellupica, Tyler Chong, CJ Maury, Ethan Murdy, Jordan Howse, Aaron Manius, and Ben Sitarenios.
Congratulations also to head coach Doug Lunney, his assistant coaches Brian Bratt and Alex McDonald (both long-time Hawks coaches) and the rest of his staff including Rich Lunney, Matthew Biemiller, and Rob Hums
