Tryouts for the 2026 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U Elite teams are held inJuly each year. Tryouts are posted on the main page of the website.

2026 Newmarket Hawks Elite (15U, 16U, 17 and 18U) Information
Hawks Elite Baseball offers players and families the following:
- Competition at the highest levels: the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) is a province-wide league of top teams within Baseball Ontario
- Opportunities for the 15U and 17U-18U teams to play at the Baseball Ontario “Elims” represent Ontario at the Baseball Canada National Championships
- Low player fees: based on the NBA's community volunteer grassroots model, fees are often thousands of dollars lower than private programs
- Minimum of two tournaments in the U.S.
- Comprehensive fall and winter player development program led by Dan Telford and Eddie Mckiernan that includes cross-training and position-specific training among multiple Hawks Elite teams
- Home games and practices at Don McKnight Field at the Newmarket Fairgrounds, one of the best maintained diamonds in Ontario
- Support for multi-sport athletes and athletes who wish to pursue baseball at the university or college level
- Special edition "Hawks Elite" gear
- Dedicated coaching staffs who focus on baseball and life skills
- Competitive teams with championship pedigree: since 2015 Hawks teams have won a four OBAs/Elims as well as in the final four another five times

2026 Newmarket Hawks Junior (U22) Information
We're looking forward to a return to competitive baseball this summer, and we expect our 22U team to be one of the top teams in the province with our goal to qualify for the 22U National Championship (again!)
Our roster will consist of a number of locally developed players (from the NBA Elite Program) along with top talents from other organizations from across Ontario. Many of our players are already attending post-secondary schools across Canada and USA, with others planning to start their college/university careers over the next few years.
