2025 YSBA Playdowns
Newmarket Baseball Association to Host 2025 YSBA Playdowns
The Newmarket Baseball Association (NBA) is excited to announce that we will host four divisions of the 2025 York Simcoe Baseball Association (YSBA) Playdowns this August. These tournaments will determine which teams advance to the prestigious Baseball Ontario (OBA) Provincial Championships, taking place Labour Day weekend, August 29 to September 1.
Hosting YSBA Playdowns is a tremendous honour and highlights the strength of Newmarket’s baseball community. It’s an opportunity to welcome teams from across the region and showcase the talent, hard work, and dedication of players and coaches throughout the YSBA.
Playdown action kicks off the weekend of August 8–10, when the 12U AAA division takes the field.
The following weekend, from August 15–17, Newmarket will be buzzing with excitement as we host four additional divisions:
11U AAA, led by Coach Scott
11U AA, hosted by Coach Parkinson
10U AAA, led by Coach Di Lullo
14U AA, hosted by Coach Bonhomme
With five divisions in total, this will be one of the busiest and most exciting stretches of the summer for Newmarket baseball. These tournaments promise competitive, high-level baseball and a great atmosphere for families, fans, and the local community.
Newmarket is proud to offer some of the top diamonds in the region, maintained to a high standard to support quality play and a great experience for all visiting teams. Our facilities are ready to host meaningful baseball in August and provide the right setting for athletes to compete at their best.
We look forward to welcoming all participating teams, families, and fans to Newmarket for two exciting weekends of baseball. Best of luck to everyone chasing their spot at the OBAs!
