All certification is managed through the Baseball Ontario ONDeck application, available both as a mobile app and through a computer web browser.

NEW AND RETURNING UMPIRES
There is an online component as well as an in person component to register for. The online component is free of charge and is now available. Follow the instructions in the link above to register for the free online umpire course.
You must register seperately for the in person clinic. The cost is $30 for Level 1 Umpires and $50 for Level 2 Umpires.
***Completion of BOTH the online and in-person components is required for certification.
The Newmarket Clinics are now full but you can register for any clinic and still umpire for Newmarket. On the ondeck app you will see other options for clinics that are close to Newmarket. Don't forget to visit the local association to make the payment for their clinic.
Introductory Umpire Clinic for 7U/9U - Manadatory for all 12 and 13 year old New Umpires
All new umpires who are 12 and 13 year old are required to also take the 7U/9U Introductory Clinic. This is in additional the clinic and the online portion. This clinic is run by our Umpire-in-Chief, Doug Yarenko and will give new umpires an opportunity to practice at a live game before the season starts. The date and time for this clinic will be emailed to all the new umpires when the date is set (usually early May!)
