Back to Back YSBA Championships for 14U AA Hawks

Congratulations to eh 14U AA Hawks - YSBA Champions!
The 14U AA Hawks won the YSBA Championship last weekend with a 4 game sweep of the weekend
capping off Back to Back Championships from last year’s 13U Crown. The boys played solid defense, had
timely hitting and amazing pitching to ride to victory.
In the opener on Friday night the Hawks hit and pitched their way to 10-4 victory over Orangeville.
Saturday morning and afternoon the Hawks slugged their way to an 18-8 win over Thornhill and 12-2
over Bolton which gave them a bye right to the final on Sunday morning.
Sunday morning came and the Hawks put all facets of the game together against the Bolton Braves in
the Championship Final game. They had strong pitching, stifling defense and a blistering hot offense
that led them to a 16-1 victory and secured their second YSBA crown in two years.
The coaches would like to say how proud they are of all the players and how fantastic the parents and
extended families have been all year supporting the boys.
The 14U AA Hawks are now off to the OBA Championships in Brantford on Labour Day weekend.
Also, a huge congrats to our fellow 2005 14U AAA team on winning their YSBA title as well. The ’05
teams are hot and fun to watch!!
