Umpire Clinics for 2017
2017-02-07
Are you interested in Umpiring for Newmarket Baseball this year?Level 1 and Level 2 Umpire Clinics are being held in Newmarket in March/April. Click for more information
All new and returning umpires must take a certified OBA Umpire Clinic to umpire for Newmarket Baseball in 2017. If you have never taken a clinic before you need to register for a Level 1 clinic. If you have taken a clinic before, you need to recertify annually - you have to take a clinic each year to maintain your umpire certification.
As a reminder the Level 1 certification is a 2 year program and the Level 2 certification is a 3 year program. Level 3s must right an exam every year to re-certify.Clinics are available at other locations on different dates. You do not need to attend the clinic in Newmarket, you can take the clinic anywhere that is convenient. Once you complete the clinic be sure to email Carolyn Achtermeier to notify her that you have become certified and she will add you to the system to get jobs assigned to you.
