ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
2008-10-09The 2008 AGM was a great success! Thank you to Councillor Victor Woodhouse, members of the Parks and Recreation Department, John Cudmore, Sports Editor of the Era Banner, and all of our members for attending.
The Frank Hollingsworth Award for sportsmanship and dedication to the game of baseball was presented by Don McKnight to Brandon Allen (Mosquito), Austin Whittle (Peewee), and Mitchell Henry (Bantam).
The Wes Green Award for excellence in umpiring was presented by Sam Sproule to Hayden Sands (Junior), Buddy Hickman (Intermediate) and Stephen Born (Senior).
Congratulations and awards were presented to the Rep Program Champions and Finalists, Mosquito AA Gold Champions, Head Coach Mark Nerland, Minor Peewee AA Finalists, Head Coach Jeff Bond, and Rookie AA Finalists, Head Coach Drew Gravelle, and the Select Mosquito Finalists, Head Coach Simon Boswell.
Congratulations and plaques for the Houseleague Champions were awarded as follows:

Carr McLeod Award for the Rookie Champion team "Braced for Action - Dr. David Brown", coached by Mike McWilliams and Grant Bykowry.
Brian Sisson Award for the Mosquito Champion team "Mexicali Rosa's" coached by Paul Pappas.
Jim Greco Award for the Peewee Champion team "Surfside Leisurescapes" coached by Rob Jarosz.
Larry Lake Award for the Bantam Champion team "Showcase Furniture Galleries" coached by Ken Johnson.
