11U Select Hawks Semi-Finalists in Bracebridge!!
The 11U Select Hawks were Semi-Finalists at the 11U Muskoka Cup held in Bracebridge July 19-21, 2019!!
The 11U Select Hawks were Semi-Finalists at the 11U Muskoka Cup held in Bracebridge July 19-21, 2019. After winning their pool 3-0, including wins against Rep teams from Muskoka and Halton Hills, the Select Hawks lost their semi-final to the defending champions, the Rep A Beamsville Stingers.
On several occasions, opponents praised the 11U Select players, coaches and fans for their good sportsmanship in both victory and defeat.
While disappointed, rising to the challenge against stiff competition gives the team confidence as they head into the last few games of the season in their drive to qualify for the YSBA Select Championship pool.
The team is 17-9-2 and currently sits in 4th place in YSBA 11U Select South Division. The top 4 have a chance to play for the championship, Aug 9-11 in Midland.
So far this year, in four tournaments the 11U Select Hawks have gone:
- Richmond Hill: Quarter final qualifiers (games not played due to rain)
- Vaughan: Quarter-finalists
- Muskoka: Semi-finalists
- West Mountain: Champions
