Junior Rookies, a pitching cage, signed MLB bat, prizes galore and pitchburst water balloons! Newmarket Baseball made a real splash at the Canada Day Fairy Lake festivities!
The weather co-operated and the Canada Day festivities for Newmarket Baseball were a huge success! The Junior Rookies played games at both Fairy Lake and the Fairgrounds, and were provided with a free lunch, a Tournament T-Shirt and Canada Day caps provided by Sew Perfect. We also had a pitching booth and pitchburst game set up at the Park. Prizes at the pitching booth were donated by the Royal Canadian Legion, Sew Perfect, Mastermind and Ce De Candy. The booth raised close to $700.00! The pitchburst game was generously provided by In Play and raised an additional $297.00 for the Association. John Little won the draw for the MLB bat used by former Newmarket Hawk and Atlanta Brave Peter Orr. Check the Photo Gallery for more photos from Canada Day.
