2013 Newmarket Hydro Bantam Hawks and 2013 Newmarket Good Vibes on Main Mosquito Hawks
Within a span of 15 minutes on Aug. 11, two Newmarket Hawks teams were crowned 2013 YSBA champions in their respective divisions. After the Good Vibes on Main Mosquitos defeated Barrie in convincing fashion to earn their championship, the Newmarket Hydro Bantams did the same on an adjoining diamond at the Vaughan Grove complex in a come-from-behind bottom-of-the-7th thriller.
Congratulations to Bantam Manager Mike Raymer, Mosquito Manager Brian Bratt, and their players and coaching staffs. Both teams have now qualified for their respective OBA championship tournaments in Brantford and London, respectively.
