Newmarket Baseball sends condolences to the French family and friends of Jayson French who passed away December 21, 2025.

It is with profound sadness that Newmarket Baseball Association shares the passing of Jayson French, who died peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jayson was a deeply valued member of the Newmarket Baseball community. He coached rep baseball with Newmarket for many years, giving countless hours to the development of young athletes and always leading with passion, integrity, and heart. His dedication to the game and to our players left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

Beyond baseball, Jayson will be remembered for his strength, resilience, sense of humour, and loyalty, as well as his deep love for his family. He is survived by his spouse Becky, his children Raygan and Lucas, and a wide circle of family and friends who meant the world to him.

On behalf of the entire Newmarket Baseball Association, we extend our deepest condolences to Jayson’s family, friends, players, and fellow coaches during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all.

There is a GoFundMe page to support his wife and their kids.
