NOW TAKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE 2017 SEASON!!!

Newmarket Baseball Association counts on the many community members who step up each year to volunteer their time.   Thank you to our Sponsors, Members, Coaches, Managers, Parents, Conveners, and all Volunteers who helped make the 2016 season such a great success!!  Your tireless work leading to this season will enable us to provide the game of baseball for over 1200 boys and girls this summer!  Thank you!!

We are actively searching for new Volunteers for the 2017 Season

Do you have or know a teenager looking for a fun way to earn volunteer hours and gain some pre-working experience? Community Involvement Hours are a requirement of high school graduation, so why not earn them working outdoors with kids and the extended Newmarket baseball community. Surely you know someone who likes baseball, likes to be physically active, and needs to build up a resume with some hours working out in the community.

Community Involvement Hours: Did you know that as part of the diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities during their secondary school years. Accumulation of community involvement hours may begin the summer after grade 8.

We need volunteers for Opening day May 13th, 2017

There are additional dates which are listed below.  Please reach out if you if you have even a few hours, and would consider helping us out.   The following list shows when we have the greatest needs but there always other ways to contribute!

Opening Day - Saturday May 13, 2017

• Assist in organization

• Direct players to the appropriate area before the parade

• Carry Division Flags in the parade

• Assist in Opening Day activities at the Fairgrounds

• Assist with Coaching Clinic at George Richardson Park

You can also help out by …

Becoming a Coach or Assistant Coach!

• No kids, No problem … We’ll give you 10-13 of them for a summer of baseball fun

• It’s perfect for volunteer experience when looking for work

• Coaches are needed for all house league teams in all divisions!!

Volunteering on Photo Day - Date TBA

• Assist in Organizing dates and times

• Assist on photo day to organize teams

Helping out with the Garrett Styles Memorial Tournament June 16-18, 2017 

• Scoring

• Clearing the field

• Assisting Coaches

Coming out for Canada Day - Kanata Day Festival - Fairy Lake - July 1, 2017

• Assist with the Junior Rookie Fun tournament

• Assist at the pitching/information booth
