Select Program

 Newmarket Baseball is planning to field four teams in the Select program for the 2010 Season, in the Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam and Midget Divisions.  Tryouts for the Select teams will be posted on the website, and are planned for the first two weeks of May.  Games start the last weekend in May and the Season winds up at the end of August.  Teams should expect around 15 games with good use of doubleheaders to cut down on travel.  Generally games are on the weekends, but some non-houseleague conflicting mid-week games are possible.  Teams are mostly from York Region, but can range as far as Barrie, Collingwood and Uxbridge.  Divisions have between 6 to 9 teams.  The YSBA winner proceeds to SOBA Championships on the Labour Day weekend.
