Silver Bat Mosquito Tournament

Newmarket was proud to host the 35^th Annual Mosquito Silver Bat Tournament from July 30 to August 1, 2010. This tournament has a long history of providing a venue for players and spectators to enjoy the game we all love.

 

The first tournament was played August 1 – 3, 1975. Burlington defeated East York 10 – 4 for the championship with a four run sixth inning. The consolation title was won by our very own Newmarket Dalton Tykes, who came from behind to defeat Birchmount 24 – 17 in a slugfest.

 

The Newmarket Baseball Association would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the organizing teams, the Mosquito Hawks, and the Minor Mosquito Hawks. Your efforts to continue the Silver Bat tradition are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
