Rookie Select Hawks go 16 and 0 for the Regular Season

Getting ready for next season...
The Hawks beat the Innisfil Cardinals on Sunday in both games of a double-header to cap their undefeated regular season.
NEWMARKET - The Rookie Select Hawks beat the Innisfil Cardinals by scores of 12-11 and 16-8 on Sunday to finish the year with 16 wins and no losses.
"Yup, 16 and 0. I was getting calls from a lot of the '72 Dolphins...they just kept saying "jinx" and hanging up. Real mature," said Coach Tim afterwards. "I mean, c'mon now, you can't even compare an NFL regular season to YSBA Rookie Ball. We play double-headers, we play house-league...they just play once a week. Big deal."
The Hawks practice on Thursday at Rene Bray before the YSBA playoffs this weekend.
"I grabbed some batting cage time Saturday and Sunday morning, just to help the kids find their groove before the game, instead of by their third at-bat. I'm also setting up an exhibition series for the next weekend, knock-on-wood, to prepare for the SOBA's. Should be a lot of fun."
The Hawks play Saturday at 10 and 1, and Sunday at 10 and (knock on wood) 1. Good seats are still available.
