Rookie Select Hawks go to 13 and 0 | Aidan gets called up from House-League

The Hawks beat Richmond Hill in both ends of a double-header on Sunday to move to 13 and 0 at the top of the standings. Aidan set to debut on Sunday vs. Richmond Hill and possibly Orillia.
NEWMARKET - The Rookie Select Hawks improved to 13 and 0 on Sunday beating Richmond Hill in both ends of a double-header. Coach Tim didn't really seem to know what the scores were at press time.
"Yeah, I kinda forget what the scores were now...the 2nd game was 14-9 I think. Not sure about the 1st game. We started off really slow in that one. Luke was 1 for 4 and his little brother Noah was 2 for 3. That went over real well. It was good to be in a couple of closer games. Nice to see the starting defense hold the fort in the last 2 innings when we needed it."
Joey stepped up his defense once again playing solid shortstop. In addition, Joey graciously agreed to loan his #27 jersey to the team so that Rookie Call-up Aidan will be sporting Hawks colours during his debut on Sunday.
"Yeah, Joey has gotten back to being a solid infielder again, which is really good for our club. I'm just hoping he doesn't forget it all while he's in Italy. Hopefully he packs his glove. Really solid of him to loan his jersey to the team so Aidan can wear it. I've heard a lot about Aidan. He's Cuban, or Dominican I think...forged birth certificate...he's actually 26. 6 foot 2 with a 102 mile per hour fastball. I'm just hoping his Dad makes sure he shaves before the game. Don't want any issues..."
The Hawks practice on Thursday and may or may not play Orillia at 4 pm in an exhibition game before their 6 pm game vs. Richmond Hill at the Fairgrounds on Sunday. Good seats are still available.
