Select Hawks look to go to 6 and 0 this weekend
2014-06-064 games and 4 wins, the Hawks look to make it 6 in Innisfil
NEWMARKET - The Rookie Select Hawks look to improve to 6 and 0 this season with a double-header against Innisfil on Sunday afternoon.
"Yup, so far so good. The boys are playing some good baseball. It will be nice to get some tournament games in soon to see how good we really are," said Coach Tim in his post-game presser. "The kids haven't really faced much in the way of adversity yet, so it will be good to see how they react. Oh, and I bought 4 green helmets plus new pads and eyeblack, because eyeblack is freaking cool. And not those crappy sanitary strips, the real gooey messy stuff."
All 4 games so far this season have been called due to Run Differential after the 5th inning.
"The biggest difference I see with our team is our ability to hit the baseball. We rarely strike out and are constantly pressuring the defence. Hopefully that continues."
Sunday's games are at 4 and 6 pm at Knock Field in Innisfil. Good seats are still available.
