TRG wins 16-3 and stays tied for 1st place in Rookie Division
NEWMARKET - The TRG Bluebombers moved to 4 and 0 on the season with a convincing 16-3 victory on Wednesday night against Mind Muze. TRG plays twice next week on Monday and Wednesday at College Manor.
"Yup, busy week. We've got Pictures on 9:30 at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, practice at 10:30 at Bayview on Saturday, and then games on Monday and Wednesday at College Manor," said Coach Tim post-game. "Big win for us against Mind Muze. I kept waiting for them to use Jedi mind tricks, you know? Like, they were going to tell us that those weren't the baseballs we were looking for or something...never happened. I found that odd."
Coach Tim was asked about his shopping expedition.
"Oh yeah, what a deal. $40 helmets on sale for $15 something plus tax. I couldn't pass them up. They're all size small, but most of the kids are small, right? They should fit. Handy to have anyway. Plus new shinpads. And eyeblack. Not those crappy sanitary strips either. The real gooey messy stuff that gets everywhere. Now that's baseball."
Good seats are still available for both games next week.
