Bluebombers win 14-11, alone in 1st place!

I say Blue, you say Bombers, 1 2 3 Blue BOMBERS!
A total team effort on Monday night drove the Bluebombers past Bauhaus Contracting 14-11 and into 1st place.
NEWMARKET - It was a wild game at College Manor on Monday night. The TRG Bluebombers held off a feisty Bauhaus Contracting team 14-11. The game was marred by a near bench-clearing incident in the middle of the 5th inning.
"Yeah, that got tense for a minute," said a visibly shaken Coach Tim. "He said we were breaking the rules, I told him we weren't. Then he said we shouldn't try our best. I respectfully disagreed. Then he disrespectfully disagreed. Tense moments. I thought Tony was coming off the bench for sure."
Once tempers were put back in check, the bottom of the 5th inning saw The Twin Towers, Tony and Brianna hit back to back singles to seal the win. Alanna and Paige also had base hits during the game. Luigi displayed incredible courage nose-butting the ball after a solid single. Noah, Dylan, Luke and Michael play solid infield defense. Chris had a big night at the plate in front of a sold out crowd. Jake only picked grass once and remembered to bat 2 out of 3 times. Well done everybody!
The Bluebombers are off until next Wednesday when they play at College Manor again. Good seats are still available.
